Heritage Sustainable Energy has been at the forefront of the shift to wind power in Michigan. The Heritage Stoney Corners Wind Farm project is one of the first utility scale wind farms in Michigan. Stoney Corners began operation in November 2008 with its first two (2) turbines.
Today, Stoney Corners is one of Michigan’s most significant renewable energy operations with 29 wind turbines at an installed capacity of 60 MWs. More information
Heritage completed construction on the first commercial wind farm in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in September 2012. The Garden Wind Farm is located in Garden Township, Delta County. The wind farm consists of 14 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 28MW.
In average, the Garden Wind Farm can generate enough electricity to power approximately 7,000 average homes annually. More information
